Swainsboro 17 Miles
Swainsboro Golf and Country Club. Beautiful 18 hole golf course located in Swainsboro, convenient to everything. Country club features private parties, receptions and monthly dinner/dance.
Harmon Park. Beautiful park with lighted 1 mile walking track, lighted tennis courts, fishing ponds, picnic pavillions with grill, picnic tables and playgrounds.
Emanuel Arts Council. Art gallery featuring regional artisits with monthly exhibitions September through May and local and amateur artists June through July.
Louisville 18 Miles
The Fire House Gallery. This newly established art gallery is dedicated to bringing the best and most provocative Southern and rural art to Louisville and the Central Savannah River Area. Exhibitions change at least monthly, and you can preview exhibitions months in advance at www.galleryafire.com.
Historic Downtown Louisville. Visit Jefferson county courthouse located at the site of Georgia's first capital, or see the revolutionary cemetery that is listed on the National Register. The Old Market House built in 1758 stands in the center of the town.
Ogeechee Crossing Park. This 236 acre park commemorates the loction of General Sherman's troops on their March to the Sea. Historic markers, restrooms, visitor pavillions and canoeing on the Ogeechee.

Bo Ginn Aquarium and Aquatic Education Center. 26 aquarium tanks. Fish, reptiles and turtles.
Magnolia Springs State Park. Known for its crystal clear springs, scenic boardwalk and free freshwater aquarium, this park offers camping, cottages, a playground, swimming pool, picnic areas, 28-acre lake with boat rental, and 10 miles of hiking and biking trails. The clear, natural spring is homne to alligators, turtles, ibis, herons and other species.
Waynesboro
Boll Weevil Plantation. This plantation features over 5000 acres of the best white tail deer hunting in Georgia.
Plant Vogtle Visitor Center. Features educational exhibits.

Midville
The Coleman Lake Restaurant is none other than a five-star restaurant that will satisfy the cravings of the most selective of tastes. Be sure to stop in and tell them the folks at the Cypress Inn sent you. Located at the river one mile behind the Cypress Inn.
McKinney's Pond located five minutes from the Cypress Inn features a menu of steak, seafood and game. Before dinner visit the historical old mill, but watch out for the alligators.
The Bus Stop located in Midville cooks up fine barbecue; served with stew, slaw, bake beans, or potato salad. The newly renovated restaurant is opened Wednesday through Saturday for lunch.
Angelas' found at the railroad tracks in Midville serves a buffet lunch. The restaurant is opened Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Specialites are Mexican on Thurday and seafood on Friday.
Alan's Quick Stop offers biscuits for breakfast and pizza or burgars with fries for lunch. Delicious!!

Game Hunters in the area enjoy hunting for deer, wild hog, turkey, dove, duck, and quail. Cypress Inn is located five minutes from Daniels Creek’s hunting club, ten minutes from Cross Otter’s hunting club, twelve minutes from Buckeye Plantation, and twenty minutes from Flat Creek.
Fishing the Ogeechee River is a popular sport. Boats can put in at Coleman Lake Restaurant, located one mile from the Cypress Inn, or other local landings. Ten H.P. motors are allowed on the Ogeechee.
The Red Breast Festival is held yearly, check for the date.

Masters Golf Tournament
Originated in 1934 by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts, Augusta’s famed Masters Golf Tournament is held annually in April. The Tournament is one of the most anticipated events for golfers, seeing the best of the best play every year from 1934 to the present except for 1943, 1944, and 1945 is which cattle and turkey were raised on the Augusta National Grounds to assist with the war effort. All of the “Masters” have played here, including Horton Smith, Gene Sarazon with his famous “shot heard ‘round the world” in which he scored a double eagle on the par 5 15th hole, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Tiger Woods. The Augusta National Grounds is only one hour from the Cypress Inn.
